Travel Meaningfully and Give To the Ones In Need

Travel Meaningfully and Give To the Ones In Need

I have to tell you about an organization that is doing an amazing work, and I am so excited about it, because I really want to experience it next time I go on a trip!

It’s Globe Drop (www.globedrop.org) and their mission is to connect travelers and social welfare establishments from all over the world, so that I can give back to the community and more importantly, to the people who really needs it.

I will always remember the kids I met in Vietnam and in Morocco, among other countries… all they wanted was some pen so they could draw and write. I felt so bad for them, since I have so much back home. I would have given them all I had! I am so lucky to have everything I need, and to be able to travel and meet people everywhere in the world. And since ‘there is more happiness in giving than there is in receiving’, Globe Drop is giving me the opportunity to give back to the ones who needs it the most.

Globe Drop is a free web application and they are a non-profit organization, so this is not a scam. Moreover, they encourage travelers to buy locally to support the community’s economy and meet at the same time locals! It really is a win-win situation.

All I had to do is sign up, which is pretty easy (I sign-up using my facebook account… it took 3 seconds), and then I can choose the charity I want to help!

My next trip is going to be in Puerto Rico, and they don’t have any charity listed there. They have 2 in the Dominican Republic, and so much more from all around the world. Please go take a look at their amazing work! It won’t take much of your time, not much of your money, but your travel experience will be so much more meaningful!!!
