Maybe it’s not a movie of your generation, but as a kid I was listening to Croc-Blanc, a 1991 film adapted from the 1906 novel of the same title by Jack London which chronicles the friendship between a young researcher of Yukon gold and a dog during the Klondike Gold Rush.
It was while watching this film that I promised myself that I would one day take a dog sled ride. I also promised myself that I would become a gold digger. This “technically” never happened. I say technically, because the gold I have found in the love that my family gives me and the pleasure that I have in traveling around the world.
I therefore suggest 6 places to go dog sledding in the Quebec province and pretend, you too, to be Jack London in the Yukon or if you prefer, Paul Walker in the film Eight Below (not to listen to if you don’t want to not end up in tears lol. It’s as beautiful and sad as Marley and me).
