With its bustling commerce and wall to wall skyscrapers, the Big Apple isn’t the first place that springs to mind when we think of family-friendly vacation spots. However, if you look closer there are plenty of things to do in New York for visitors of all ages. Here are some of our favorites!
The American Museum of Natural History
Start your tour of the AMNH in the Discovery Room, where kids can re-enact scenes from the wild in a model African baobab tree. The jaw-dropping giant blue whale is a must, as are the dinosaur exhibits, and when they need a rest, the IMAX screenplays nature films throughout the day. Save time on the queues by booking a New York CityPASS family ticket in advance.

Need to burn off that sugar? Central Park is one of the best places to visit in New York, offering vast green spaces and plenty of sights to see. Disney on Broadway Behind the Magic Experience
This behind the scenes adventure lets kids explore the magic of Mary Poppins, Aladdin and The Lion King on Broadway. With an exclusive all-access tour of the New Amsterdam Theatre, kids can learn the secrets of the theatre with the Disney Theatrical Group.
The Empire State Building
Another favorite on the New York CityPASS attractions list, The Empire State Building provides unforgettable views of the entire city from 102 storeys. Look out from the 86th or 102nd-floor observation deck or marvel at the historical exhibits on the 80th floor.
Time Square
If you want to be in the center of the action in New York City, of course Time Square is THE place to be. It is so much fun to grab a snack and watch people passing by… or visit the Disney Store! An all-time favorite!
